In this class, students will learn the Anatomy & Physiology of pregnancy as it applies to each trimester, safety issues and contraindications to massage, how to position your client for comfort and safety, and how to develop a one hour side-lying routine. The emphasis will be placed on proper draping techniques, positional release techniques that alleviate some minor discomforts of pregnancy, and marketing techniques to attract clientele.
Pre-requisites: Previous Massage Therapy experience
Students are required, to wear comfortable clothing and bring note taking materials, a set of twin size fitted sheets and face rest cover, massage cream, towels and at least 4 pillows. Upon completion of the 2 day, 16 hour course, continuing education students will receive a certificate of completion within 14 business days by mail.
What do I bring to my class?
(PLEASE BRING YOUR FACE REST COVER, A SET OF SHEETS AND CREAM TO ALL WEEKEND CLASSES AND NOTE TAKING MATERIAL)
ALL STUDENTS TAKING COURSES AT THE SADDLE BROOK LOCATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO BRING OWN MASSAGE TABLE TO CLASS.
